Sightline Analysis

Sightline Analysis is our in-house proprietary software for objectively and analytically reviewing the sightlines of a venue or theatre production.

Developed in collaboration with Ambassador Theatre Group, Sightline Analysis takes thousands of individual measurements from eyelines of virtual avatars seated throughout the auditorium, recording the percentage of the stage - or selected area of a stage - that is visible from each seat.

The resulting data from each seat takes into account any obstructions to the view, including heads in front and the architecture of venue.

Generating this data from a 3D Digital Twin results in a level of detail and accuracy that is not achievable through traditional sightline reviews using 2D plans.

Producers and venue operators can use the resulting data to set ticket pricing with confidence.

We internally use Sightline Analysis as part of our Production Visualization as a tool that enables us to advise and consult on minor changes that could be made to a production’s set design to improve sightlines and gross potential revenue.
